What we treat
Dr. El-Refai's practice is limited to endodontics: the inside of the tooth, the root, and the tissue around it. It is the only kind of dentistry she does.
- Root canal treatment Saving an infected or inflamed tooth, usually in a single visit.

- Root canal retreatment A second chance for a tooth whose earlier root canal has not healed.

A small-field 3D scanner designed for endodontics shows canals, cracks and infection that flat x-rays miss, with a low dose.

Meet Dr. El-Refai
Dr. Nivine El-Refai earned her dental degrees at Cairo University and Case Western Reserve University, where she completed her specialty training in endodontics in 2000 and has volunteered as an instructor ever since. She became a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics in 2014 and was inducted as a Fellow of the International College of Dentists in 2023.
Outside the office she spends time with family, travels, fishes, plays tennis, gardens and reads, often in another language.
